Dolphins Go Undefeated; End Regulars Season with Victory Over Local Rival Merrimack

By Doll Finn
Senior Dolphin Correspondent

The Bannockburn Dolphins went perfect in 2015 after defeating Merrimack 417 to 374 on Saturday on the strength of the team’s performance in breast stroke and fly. The win means the Dolphins went 5 and 0 in division.

To us, that makes the Dolphins the division champions.

Now some may contend that under the MCLS rules, a lot more goes into determining the division champion. For instance, a team gets six points for winning a dual meet, up to 10 points for winning relay carnival (we got zero for relay carnival) and up to 20 points for winning divisionals. The Dolphins now stand two points ahead of Pallisades largely because of Relay Carnival. That means if Pallisades wins Divisionals and the Dolphins finish second or worse, then Pallisades will overtake the Dolphins in the standings. The same is true for other teams if the Dolphins finish near the bottom of Divisionals. And that means the Dolphins could still finish second or worse depending upon how the team performs at Divisionals.

We at Dolphin Times reject that funny math as we have enough trouble copying times correctly. The notion of figuring out the coefficient of an obstuse angle as part of an econometric model that crunches all the times to figure out a victor is way beyond our limited math skills.  Plus let’s be realistic. The MCSL system is voodoo math.

So cue up Kool and the Gang. It is time for some Celebration. We are declaring the undefeated Bannockburn Dolphins as winners of Division H. This is especially true as no other team in division has more than three wins.

Let’s do a quick recount of the season. The Dolphins beat the Tartans. The Dolphins beat the NCC Sharks. The Dolphins beat Inverness. The Dolphins beat Pallisades. And the Dolphins beat Merrimack. This means those other Dolphins won’t be popping the champagne as these Dolphins will not have a loss in 2015. (Yes, that is a reference for the NFL-loving parents.)

Speaking of Merrimack, let’s get to the details of that meet.

By way of background, we are pulling our meet data from the MCLS website. This produces the data slightly differently than the Meet results, which we didn’t get after the meet. The result is that some names may be more formal than what is normally listed. For instance, Jack Blazes in Christopher J. Blazes. We tried to fix this when possible.  As always, get us fixes as soon as possible so changes can be made before the paper version is posted at the pool.

This meet was won in breast and fly. The Dolphines turned an eight point defict at halftime into a comfotable win.

The Dolphins always start strong. Gideon Helf won the boys 100 IM while Shifra Eskin won for the girls. Andrew O’Brien took third and Duncan Ryan was sixth while Katie MacIsaac was second and Maya Lall was fifth.

The team followed that up with wins in both 200 Medley Relays. The team of Jacob Winter, Jack Blazes, Jeffrey Su and James Vincent won for the boys with Jessie Kline, Danielle Lair Ferrari, Katya Damskey and Bryna Steele taking first for the girls.

Under 8 also went well for the Dolphins. James LeFaivre won  just 13/100 of a second ahead of Aaron Kraus. Aidan O’Brien was  fourth, Zachary Kraus was fifth, Nicolas Molineus was sixth and Alex Spooner was 10th.  In 25 back, Alex took second, Cade Afas was fourth and Nicolas was fifth.  For 25 breast, James, Aidan and Martin Alvarez took first, second and third. This winning way continued with 25 fly with James and Aidan taking first and second. Aaron Kraus grabbed fifth.

Merrimack’s under 8 girls were strong, but Nadia Lall took sixth, Alisha Mink took seventh, Celia Noya was eighth, Willow Boison was 10th, Caroline Moeller was 11th and Charlotte Komosa was 12th. In back, Merrimack was strong. Nadia Lall took fourth, Willow was fifth and Alisha was sixth.  For 25 breast, Celia took third, Caroline was fourth and Willow was fifth. Naida cranked it up in 25 fly for the win with Celia in fourth.

In 9/10, the books took three of the top five spots. Will Spooner was second, Meyer Eskin was third, Jacob Seiberg was fifth, Constantine Molineus was eighth, Max Kroloff was 11th and Anthony Noya was 12th. Meyer continues to dominate breast stroke with an easy win followed by Max in third and Constantine in fourth. Will Spooner won 25 fly, Max Kroloff was fourth and Jacob Seiberg was sixth.

For the girls, Darby LeFaivre was third, Ella Scott was fourth, Maya Lall was sixth , Sam MacIsaac was ninth, Anahi Tinel was 11th and Emma Reveiz was 12th in 50 free.  We saw strength in back with Darby tying for second, Sam in fourth and Ella Scott in fifth. In breast, Maya won with Ella Scott in fourth and Erin Pollack in sixth. Darby grabbed second in 25 fly with Sam in fourth and Maya in fifth.

In 11/12, Gideon Helf and Shifra Eskin were consistent winner. Gideon took first in 50 free by more than two seconds while Shifra won 50 free by more than a second. Cole Wassliew finished sixth, Duncan Ryan was eighth, Damian Molineus was 10th and Benjamin Baisinger-Lee was 11th.  In back, Andrew O’Brien was second, Damian was fourth and Duncan took sixth. Gideon lost by 1/100 of a second to take second in 50 breast. This race was insanely close and was decided purely on the trigger fingers of the middle timers. Andrew took fourth and Cole was fifth. Gideon came back to win 50 fly by almost a second. Andrew was third and Duncan took sixth.

On the girls, Katie MacIsaac finished just behind Shifra in 50 free. Evelyn Wassiliew was third, Cecily McArdle was sixth and Anna-Louise Cobau was 11th. Katie won 50 back with Evelyn Wassiliew in second and Anna-Louise in sixth. In 50 breast, Shifra won by almost fourt second. Katie was second by nearly 1.5 seconds over third. Cecily was sixth. Shifra remained on first with a win in 50 fly. Evelyn Wassiliew was second and Cecily was fourth.

The Dolphins were strong in 13/14.

For the boys, Ray Crist won the 50 free with Jack MacIsaac tied for third. Owen Wassiliew was sixth, Lucca Scott was eighth, Ethan Wednel was ninth,  andTyler Crist was 10th. In the 100 IM, Jack took second with Owen in fourth and Ray in sixth. Jack won 50 back with Ray in second and Lucca in third. Owen and Jack went two-three in 50 breast with Ali Shafii in fifth. Ray and Owen finished first and second in 50 fly with Jonathan Rufino in fifth.

For the girls, Gabby Helf won with Alexa Crist in fifth, and Naomi Seiberg in eighth. In the 100 IM, Gabby was third, Alexa was fifth and Naomi was sixth. Gabby took third in 50 back with Naomi in fifth and Sarah Cobau in sixth. Alexa showed why she is a breast stroke specialist, taking the win by almost 1.9 seconds. Sarah Cobau took fifth. Gabby took third in 50 fly with Alexa in fifth and Sarah in sixth.

In 100 free for the 15/18 year olds, Jeffrey Su won with Jake Winter in second, Jonathan Rufino in sixth, Jack Blazes in seventh, Vince Steis in ninth and Alex Butman in 10th.  Jeffrey followed that with a win in the 100 back. Jake Winter was fourth and Jack Blazes was fifth. In the 100 IM, Jeffre won with Jake Winter in second and Jack Blazes in fourth. Jack won 100 breast with Jonathan Rufino in third and Alex Butman in fourth. Jeffrey notched another win in 50 fly with Jake Winters in second and Jonathan Rufino in fifth.

On the girls side, Bryna Steele was first in 100 free with Jessie Kline in fourth , Danielle Lair Ferrari in fifth, Katya Damskey in sixth, Kaili Gregory in seventh and Samantha Kline in 11th.  Jessie roared back with a win in 100 back. Bryna Steele was fourth and Katya was fifth. Jessie won in the 100 IM with Bryna Steele in fourth and Katya in fifth. For 100 breast, Jessie took second, Danielle Lair-Ferrari was third and Kaili was fifth. Katya won 50 fly with Bryna in third and Danielle in fifth.

At this point, the meet felt close even though Bannockburn had a comfortable lead. In the 175 relay, Will Spooner, Gideon Helf, Ray Crist and James LeFaivre took first and eliminated any doubt about the outcome. Meyer Eskin, Andrew O’Brien, Jack MacIsaac and Aaron Kraus were third.

On the girls side, Bannockburn took second with Darby LeFaivre, Shifra Eskin, Gabby Helf and Nadia Lall. The team of  Ella Scott, Katie McIsaac, Alexa Crist and Alisha Mink was fourth.

Divisionals Next Saturday; Party that Night

By Flipp Turn
Junior Dolphin Reporter

The Dolphins head across the one lane bridge on Saturday for Divisionals, which is the end of season competition that features the top swimmers from all six teams.  Each team swims two kids in each event. That means two heats for every event.

There are a lot of festivities that lead into this.

There is the pre-team meet on Wednesday, the pancake breakfast on Friday morning, the team outing on Friday afternoon and the team banquet on Saturday night. And even more stuff we are sure. It is all in the weekly email that went to families on Sunday night. In short, the season is almost over. But not quite…..

Dolphins Clinch Share of Division H Win;
Merrimack Meet to Decide if Perfect Season

By Doll Finn
Senior Dolphin Correspondent

The Bannockburn Dolphins guaranteed at least a share of first place for Division H in 2015 with a close victory over North Chevy Chase. The Dolphins will go for their first perfect season since the team won Division E in 2008.

Before we get too caught up in next week, there is a lot of recount from this week’s A Meet, which the Dolphins won 403 to 388.

This was a close meet throughout. Every time it appeared the Dolphins would get a comfortable lead the Sharks would sweep an event and make the score close again. Despite this up and down nature of the competition, the Dolphins jumped early to a 16 point lead and pretty much kept at least a 10 point margin throughout the competition.

For many, this meet will be best remembered for the weather. We started in a heavy downpour and it rained pretty hard through much of backstroke before becoming hot and humid as we moved into the second half of the competition.

The meet started with two wins in 100 IM as Gideon Helf and Shifra Eskin beat their Shark rivals. Duncan Ryan was fifth for the boys while Katie MacIsaac and Maya Lall were third and sixth for the girls.

The Dolphins gained the edge in the 200 Medley. Jeffrey Su, Jake Winter, Evan Steingass and Vince Steis took first with Jonathan Rufino, Owen Wassiliew, James Cobau and Alex Butman in third.

For the girls, Jessie Kline, Danielle Lair Ferrari, Katya Damskey and Bryna Steele won the 200 Medley with Kali Gregory, Alexa Crist, Samantha Kline and Naomi Seiberg in fourth.

This pretty much produced the 10 to 15 point edge that the Dolphins would maintain throughout the swim meet.

The Sharks did score on the 13/14 IM, but Ray Crist, Jack MacIsaac and Owen Wassiliew got third to fifth while Gabby Helf and Alexa Crist took third and fifth for the girls. Getting those points was critical given how close the score.

North Chevy Chase has very fast under 8 boys. Charlie Conroy scored a third with James LeFaivre in fifth. Aaron Kraus, Nicholas Molineus, Aidan O’Brien and Zachardy Kraus took seventh to 10th.  Alex, Nicholas and Aidan got second to fourth in 25 back while James, Charlie and Aidan took third to fifth in 25 breast.

On the girl’s side for under 8, Annie Kessner took second with Alisha Mink in fifth and Nadia Lall in sixth. Ceila Noya was in eighth and Caroline Jensen in 9th. Annie took second in 25 back with Caroline in third and Alisha in fourth. Caroline won 25 breast with Celia in fifth and Nadia in sixth. Annie won 25 fly with Nadia in fourth.

To Dolphins picked up points in 9/10.

On the boy’s side, Will Spooner, Meyer Eskin and Jacob Seiberg swept the top three spots. Constaine Molineus was sixth, Max Kroloff was seventh and Anthony Noya took 10th.  Will Spooner won 25 back with Meyer Eskin in second and Jacob in fifth. Just two seconds separated swimmers 1 to 5. Meyer took first in 25 breast with Max in fourth.  In 25 fly, Charlie was fourth and James was fifth. Will won 25 fly with Max in third and Jacob in fifth.

The 9/10 girls took spots two through five in 50 free with Darby LeFaivre, Ella Scott, Maya Lall and Sam McIsaac. Darby, Ella and Sam were second to fourth in 25 back. Maya was second in 25 breast with Ella in fourth. Darby, Sam and Maya were third to fifth in 25 fly.

In 11/12,  Gideon Helf and Cole Wassiliew were first and second in 50 free. Duncan Ryan and Damian Molineus were sixth and seventh. Griffin Beronio was 10th.  Gideon and Andrew took first and second in 50 back with Damian in sixth. Andrew and Cole took first and second in 50 breast while Gideon and Andrew finished first and second in 50 fly.

For the girls, Shifra Eskin took second with Evelyn Wassiliew in fourth, Katie MacIsaac in fifth, Cecily McArdle in 10th and Anna-Louise Cobau in 11th.  Katie won 50 back with Evenlyn in fourth and Anna-Louise in sixth. Shifra won 50 breast with Katie in third. Shifra won 50 fly.

For the 13/14, Ray Crist took third in 50 free. He missed second by 3/100 of a second. Close behind was Jack McIsaac in fourth, Owen Wassiliew in fifth, Lucca Scott in seventh, Tyler Crist in eighth and Jorge Romeu in 10th. Lucca took third in 50 back with Ray in fourth and Jack in fifth. Owen Jack and Samuel Reveiz were second to fourth in breast. Ray took second in 50 fly with Lucca in third and Owen in fourth.

For the girls, Gabby Helf took third in 50 free with Caitlin Ryan in sixth, Alexa Crist in ninth, Naomi Seiberg in 10th and Sarah Cobau in 11th. Gabby Helf was second in back with Naomi in fifth and Sarah in sixth. Alexa was fourth in 50 breast. Gabby was fourth in fly and Alexa was fifth.

In 15/18, Jeffrey Su just edged out Jake Winter in 100 free. But as both are Dolphins the team got first and second. Evan Steingass was fourth, Jonathan Rufino was fifth, Vince Steis was seventh, and Alex Butman was ninth. Jeffrey was second in 100 back, Jake took third and Jonathan was fourth. Jonathan took third in 100 breast with Alex in fourth and Vince fifth. Evan, Jeffrey and Jake swept first to third in 50 fly, which probably was the deciding factor in the meet. It was a huge swim for all three.

On the girl’s side, Bryna Steel won with Jessie Kline in third, Danielle Lair Ferrari in fourth, Katya Damskey in fifth, Kali Gregory in seventh and Samantha Kline in 12th. Jessie won 100 back with Katya in third and Bryna in fourth. Jessie won 100 breast with Danielle in fourth. Katya took a win in 50 fly with Bryna in third.

At this point, everyone knew the meet was very close and it was unclear to the Dolphins what would happen if the Sharks swept the 175 relays.

That didn’t happen.

The team of Will Spooner, Gideon Helf, Ray Crist and Charlie Conroy took second with 19/100 of a second. The key was that the team of Meyer Eskin, Andrew O’Brien, Jack MacIsaac and James LeFaivre took third. As a result, the Sharks only picked up two points.

On the girls side, the Sharks won. But the team of Darby LeFaivre, Shifra Eskin, Gabby Helf and Annie Kesnner grabbed four points for second. Ella Scott, Evelyn Wassliew, Caitlin Ryan and Alisha Mink took fourth. This meant the Sharks picked up six points on the Dolphins.

That eight point pick up in the 175 relays was not enough and the Dolphins dived into the pool to celebrate the fourth win of the season. Those cheers grew even louder when word spread that Merrimack lost, which meant the Dolphins are alone on top of Division H.

Dolphins Excel with Hot Dogs, Pies

By Walter Tu Kold
Junior Dolphin Reporter

There is nothing like the excitement of a July 4th eating contest.

With head eater referee Amy MacIsaac in charge, the Dolphins proved just how talented they can be eating mini hot dogs and finding the cherry in a whipped cream pie. Dolphin Times will report back if any of this resurfaces at Relay Carnival, which conveniently is NOT being held at Bannockburn’s home pool.

Lots of Relays at Relay Carnival

By Flipp Turn
Junior Dolphin Reporter

The Bannockburn Dolphins on Sunday traveled back to Inverness for the annual relay carnival.

This unique meet features 22 different relays that combine different strokes and age groups with all six teams in the division competing with one relay team per event. In short, it is total chaos and lots of fun.

Weather really played havoc on the team at the meet as it was not raining out. Unaccustomed to swimming in nice weather, the team settled for sixth place. To be fair, the team was only six points from fourth place.

Despite the struggles, this reporter witnesses a team that knew how to have fun and eat shaved ice.

B Meet Produces Rain, Top Performances

By Walter Tu Kold
Junior Dolphin Reporter

The Bannockburn Dolphins defeated Mother Nature on Wednesday by at least getting through breast stroke at the B Meet before thunder finally shut down the competition, which already started 45 minutes for weather.

Despite the interesting conditions at warm up – think massive downpour where you cannot see more than 10 feet in front of you – the skies cleared for the meet. And even after the thunder caused the meet to be called it never started raining again.

We saw some great time improvements. As is the custom of Dolphin Times, we highlight those swimmers with at least a 10% time improvement.

Willow Boison improved 5.63 seconds in 25 back while Tessa Furlow improved by 7.79 seconds in 50 free. Grayden O’Brien dropped 5.08 seconds in 25 back while Thoe Zobrist reduced his time by 5.08 seconds in 25 back.

A bunch of other Dolphins got close to the 10% improvement mark. These include Claire Abrams in 25 breast, Daniel Berglund in 50 free, Maya Clancy in 50 free and Philip Moeller in 25 free.

Dolphins Guarantee Winning Season; Division H Title Remains Within Reach

By Doll Finn
Senior Dolphin Correspondent

The Bannockburn Dolphins beat Inverness on Saturday in rainy and cold meet that produced few fast times but showed just how strong this 2015 squad of swimmers can be.

The final score was 458.5 to 323.5, but the meet felt much closer than that.

The Dolphins remain in first place in Division H with a 3 and 0 record. North Chevy Chase and Merrimack remain in the way of a perfect season for Bannockburn. That ups the pressure on the team for the next two meets.

Of course, the team wouldn’t be in this position if it wasn’t for some impressive swims in pretty dreadful conditions. We are talking about a cold rain that varied from a midst to a steady raid. And there was wind on top of that.

The story of every meet often comes down to a single race or performance. In this case, Ray Crist crushed his leg in the 175 meter boys relay, which not only put the boys in position to win the relay but also ensured the Dolphins would prevail at the meet. Ray started about 1/3 of a lane behind the Inverness swimmer but finished several body lengths ahead of him in just 50 meters. That let Charlie Conroy swim for the win for the relay, which also included Gideon Helf and Will Spooner. Meyer Eskin, Andrew O’Brien, Jack MacIsaac and James LeFaivre finished third.

The girls did not win their 175 relay, but swept second and third for six points. Darby LeFaivre, Katie MacIsaac, Gabby Helf and Annie Kessner took second while Ella Scott, Evelyn Wassiliew, Caitlin Ryan and Nadia Lall took third.

The Dolphins started the meet with Gideon Helf winning the 100 IM with Andrew O’Brien in fourth and Cole Wassiliew in sixth. Shifra Eskin took second for the girls 100 IM with Katie MacIsaac in fourth and Maya Lall in sixth.

Then the Dolphins really picked it up with wins in both 200 Medley Relays. Jeffrey Su, Jack Blazes, Evan Steingass and Vince Steis took first by almost 10 seconds. They beat the Bannockburn team of Jake Winter, Owen Wassiliew, Ethan Wendel and Jonathan Rufino. That team was nearly seven seconds ahead of the top Inverness team and was almost a minute faster than the other Inverness team.

The girls were just as dominant. Jessie Kline, Danielle Lair Ferrari, Katya Damskey, and Bryna Steele took first with the Dolphin team of Naomi Seiberg, Alexa Crist, Samantha Kline and Sarah Cobau in second. They beat the Inverness team by more than eight seconds.

So we knew at this point that the older kids were strong. But the Dolphin’s strength so far this season has been the under 8 and the 9/10. Those kids would often sweep all the top spots.

This meet proved a bit harder for the younger kids though there were still some great performances.

Charlie Conroy continued his winning ways in under 8 25 free. James LeFaivre, Aidan O’Brien, Zachary Kraus, Nicolas Molineus, and Aaron Kraus took spots four thru eight. Charlie and his brother Emmet Conroy battled it out in 25 back with Charlie getting the win and Emmet taking second. Alex Spooner was fourth.  The under 8 boys swept 25 breast with James LeFaivre, Charlie Conroy and Aidan O’Brien getting first to third. This is not an easy stroke for under 8 as witnessed by the fact that all three Inverness swimmers DQ’d. Fly was more competitive with Aidan getting second and James taking fourth.

On the under 8 girls side, Annie Kessner took second with Nadia Lall in fifth. Caroline Moeller was 8th with Willow Boison in 10th and Celia Noya in 11th.  Annie was second in back with Hannah Warfield in fourth and Alisha Mink in sixth. Annie notched another win in 25 fly.

9/10 has been the other strength of the team in the past two meets. Today, the competition was tougher. Will Spooner took second with Meyer Eskin in fourth, Jacob Seiberg in sixth, Max Kroloff in eighth, Constantine Molineus in ninth and William Kessner in 12th. Will picked up another second in 25 back. For 25 breast, Meyer took first while in 25 fly Will took second.

The girls were strong in 9/10, providing a significant number of points for the team. Darby LeFaivre, Ella Scott and Maya Lall swept the top three spots in 50 free with Sam MacIsaac in fifth, Anahi Tinel in eighth and Teresa Romeu in 11th.  Darby, Ella and Sam took first to third in 25 back while Maya and Ella were first and second in breast. Darby, Sam and Maya then swept the top three spots in 25 fly.

That left 11/12. Gideon Helf took first with Cole Wassiliew, Damian Molineus and Jack Burke in sixth to eighth. Finn Martin was 11th.  Andrew O’Brien was second in back while Gideon won breast with Andrew in second and Cole in fifth.  Gideon also took first in 50 fly.

On the girl’s side, Shifra Eskin took third in 50 free with Katie MacIsaac and Evelyn Wassiliew in fifth and sixth. Anna-Louise Cobau, Lily Singh and Maddie Watson were 10th, 11th and 12th.  Kathie took third in back while Shifra won the 50 breast with Katie in third. Shifra took second in fly.

The Dolphins started to dominate with the older ages.

Jack MacIsaac, Owen Wassiliew and Ray Crist took first to third in the 13/14 100 IM. Earlier, Ray Crist, Jack MacIsaac, and Owen Wassiliew took first to third in 50 free. Lucca Scott was fifth, Ethan Wendel was sixth, and Tyler Crist was eighth.  Jack, Ray and Owen swept first to third in 50 back while Owen and Jack took first and second in 50 breast.

Lucca Scott notched first place in 13/14 50 fly with Ethan Wendel in second and Ray Crist taking third.

On the girls 13/14 side, Gabby Helf was third in 50 free. Caitlin Ryan took fourth with Alexa Crist in sixth, Naomi Seiberg in eighth, and Sarah Cobau in ninth.  Gabby took third in the 100 IM and the 50 back with Naomi in fifth in back. Alexa, Caitlin and Sarah took second to fourth in 50 breast.  Gabby was second in 50 fly.

Jeffrey Su won the 100 Free for 15/18 with Evan Steingass in third, Jake Winter in fourth, Jonathan Rufino in sixth, Jack Blazes in seveth and Vince Steis in eighth. Jeffrey took first in 100 back with Jake in third and Jack in fourth. Jack won the 100 breast with Jonathan Rufino in third and Vince Steis in fourth.  Evan and Jeffrey took first and second in 50 fly.

For 15/18 girls, Jessie Kline, Bryna Steele, Danielle Lair Ferrari, Katya Damskey and Samantha Kline finished first through fifth in 100 free.  Jessie, Katya and Bryna swept first to third in 100 back while Jessie and Danielle took first and second in 100 breast. Katya, Danielle and Bryna swept first to third in 50 fly.

B Meet Produces Top Performances

By Walter Tu Kold
Junior Dolphin Reporter

The Dolphins swam up River Road this week for our annual B Meet against Sommerset.

While there were many terrific swims, we continue to give special recognition in Dolphin Times to those who showed a 10% improvement off their best prior time in an event.

Now we apologize in advance if the data are not perfect. We pull this report off of Team Unify, which is where all the meet information is stored. But there can be hiccups…..
Griffin Beronio dropped 6.69 second in 50 free while Luke Beronio took off 11.52 second in 25 back. Jack Burke improved by 8.25 seconds in 50 fly while Aaron Kraus dropped 2.42 seconds in 25 free. Kenneth Pender dropped 4.79 seconds in 25 free.

This was a slow pool with many swimmers having trouble making their seed times. This could be because of the heavy rain that fell as warm ups were starting or because many kids were still tired from camp.

In either case, we also wanted to highlight a few swimmers who got close to a 10% improvement. Daphne Abrams dropped 6.41 seconds in 50 free, Charles Conroy took off 2.57 seconds in 25 fly, Tessa Furlow dropped 6.31 seconds in 50 free, Anthony Noya dropped 4.56 seconds in 50 free, and Erin Pollack took off 2.79 seconds in 25 breast.

It was a great overall performance in the third B meet of the season. This reporter predicts the list of big improvers will be even bigger after next week’s Mohican B Meet, which is being held in the friendly confines of Bannockburn Swim Club.
